DLTK's Poems
Percy Bysshe Shelley

About the poet:

Born: August 4, 1792 in Horsham, England.
Died: July 8, 1822 in Grand Duchy of Tuscany.

Shelley was one of major English romantic poets and is well known for being one of the finest lyric poets in the English language.  Shelley was known for being an outspoken atheist which caused him to be expelled from Oxford and to loose custody of his children after his first wife killed herself.
He died at age 29 by drowning on a boat during a sudden storm.  His death seemed suspicious because he was fully clothed (including his boots) and none of the life boats had been used.
His mainstream following only began a generation after his death.
