Edward Estlin Cummings was one of the most popular American poets of the twentieth century. He's style of writing was often criticized due to his lack of punctuation, spelling, syntax, etc. but that didn't concern his readers. He wrote approximately 2,900 poems along with 4 plays, numerous essays and 2 autobiographical novels.
